Do you know the History of Gin? Don’t worry we are going to cover it here but if you are interested then read For the Love of Gin. So the British Gin Act of 1751 revolutionized gin production with “London Dry” emerging as the classic gin spirit we know and love to drink today.
Gin Lane 1751 or “Pink Gin” is considered a quintessential Victorian style London gin. The predominant botanical flavours in this style of gin are Juniper berries with a hint of liquorice. If you want to know the other 7 botanicals you will need to read the label on the gin bottle.
We have taken the key elements from a classic gin and tonic recipe err… the gin and the tonic and added a few extra ingredients of our own to dial up the orange and juniper notes.
Cheers to Queen Victoria who reigned from 20 June 1837 until her death in 1901.
