The classic martini cocktail starts with gin and dry vermouth. Stir the cocktail with ice until well chilled—the outside of the glass should get cold, too. You can use a wide range of gins and vermouths here; keep tasting until you find your favourite, or you can just use our faves. Be sure to use a fresh bottle of vermouth and keep any leftovers in your fridge
Our version of a dry martini is to have a light touch with the vermouth because this really ties the complex botanicals of that gin together and Bitter Orange Syrup lets you experience the gin in a new way.
Ingredients
- 60 ml Tanqueray Gin
- 15 ml Dolin’s Dry Vermouth
- 10 ml Bitter Orange Simple Syrup
- Cracked ice
- Green olive for garnish
- Splash of Olive Brine
- Lemon Peel
Instructions:
- Half fill a cocktail shaker with ice
- Pour Gin, Vermouth and Bitter Orange syrup over ice
- Stir well, about 30 seconds, then strain into martini glass.
- Add a splash of olive brine to martini
- Garnish with olive or lemon twist and serve.
