Earl Grey Milk Tea

Earl grey tea is quintessentially British and part of the great tradition of afternoon tea. This classic tea also tastes amazing cold. Ice blocks flavoured with aromatic bergamot helps to make this cold brew milk tea taste really good. You will love the taste of the cold brew milk sweetened with Bergamot simple syrup.

This iced tea is perfect for waking up on a hot summer day and chilling out. Make sure you prepare the ice blocks and cold brew day before.

Ingredients

  • 3 Earl grey tea bag
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 60 ml Bergamot simple syrup
  • 2 cups almond milk (vanilla flavoured or unsweetened)

Instructions

Start by making Earl Grey Ice Cubes

  1. Place 1 Earl Grey tea bag into 1 cup of hot water
  2. Steep for 4 min to make Earl Grey tea
  3. Allow tea to cool then pour into an ice block tray
  4. Freeze overnight

Earl Grey Milk Tea

  1. Fill a jar with almond milk
  2. Add 2 Earl Grey tea bags to milk
  3. Refrigerate cold brew tea overnight
  4. 2/3 fill 2 tall glasses or mason jar with earl grey ice blocks
  5. Pour cold brew tea over the ice cubes, dividing evenly between glasses
  6. Add 30 ml shot of bergamot syrup into each glass and stir each drink to mix
  7. Enjoy right away!
