Modern mixology meets old world Dutch gin.
This cocktail is sweetly spiced elegance and offers a unique drinking experience as a fusion cocktail. Using Bols Genever generally not found in the average cocktail accented by fresh lemon juice elderflower syrup and pine notes found in our Rosemary Simple Syrup. Infused spices add a tantalising taste to the gin while the egg foam adds silkiness which makes many classic drinks spectacular. Muddling pink peppercorns and cardamon seeds gives this drink an unusual background flavour that is intriguing and worth the effort to mix.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp. Pink Peppercorns
- 3/4 tsp. Cardamon seeds
- 60ml Bols Genever gin
- 15 ml Lemon juice
- 15ml Elderflower cordial
- 15 ml Rosemary Simple Syrup
- 1 Egg white
- 3-4 ice blocks
- Ground Cardamon for garnish
Instructions
- Muddle pink peppercorns and cardamon to crush and break up!
- Add gin and stir for 30 seconds to infuse spices.
- Add lemon juice and rosemary syrup and stir to mix.
- Add egg white and dry shake.
- Add ice and hard wet shake 20 seconds.
- Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass
- Lightly dust top of cocktail with cardamon powder
