Jaffa Hot Chocolate

Autumn has been cool here in Melbourne. Today feels decidedly wintery and officially recorded as the coldest easter sunday on record since 1943.  Taking refuge inside from the rain I draw comfort from the simple pleasures in life, a good book and a hot drink.

There is absolutely nothing more soothing to your senses than deeply inhaling the steam rising from a mug of liquid hot chocolate flavoured with orange. This flavour pairing of orange and chocolate is colloquially known as Jaffa and makes the perfect drink for a miserable afternoon!

You wont need to wait another 80 years to enjoy this beauty as winter is coming! Make sure to share one of the recipes below and next time friends pop over make your favorite jaffa hot chocolate. Why not top the cup with whipped cream a light dusting of cocoa then decorate with grated orange or dehydrated oranges for an indulgent afternoon treat. Just sensational!
