A Sharbat is a sweet drink made from fruit or flower petals. It is the PERFECT non-alcoholic drink to have with my favourite Spanish foods tapas and paella. Bitter orange and saffron work add colour and flavour to the drink. Verjus brings a soft acidity that tempers the sweetness of the simple syrup while the soda water integrates the flavours together without diluting the floral notes.
Ingredients
- 60 ml Maggie Beer Verjus
- 15 ml Bitter Orange Simple Syrup
- 120 ml Schweppes Soda Water
- 1 lemon twist to garnish
Instructions:
- Pour syrup and verjus in the bottom of a tumbler
- Add half the soda and mix ingredients well
- Fill glass tumbler with ice
- Top with the rest of the soda water
- Garnish with a lemon twist
