A classic lemon whiskey sour should be made from scratch, or it ain’t a whiskey sour. For a cleaner, classier-looking drink, strain the lemon juice to remove seeds and pulp. This cocktail is best served in tumblers full of ice.
Ingredients
- 45 ml whiskey
- 20 ml fresh lemon juice
- 10 ml Bitter orange simple syrup or Marmalade simple syrup
- 1 cup ice cubes, or as needed
- 1 maraschino cherry for garnish
Instructions
- Fill cocktail shaker with ice
- Add the whiskey, lemon juice and simple syrup into the cocktail shaker
- Shake for 30 seconds
- Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice.
- Garnish with the orange slices and maraschino cherry
